Remodelling diamond jewellery has always been a meaningful way to honour the past while creating something fresh and new. While it has long been popular, I noticed a surge in enquiries post-lockdown, perhaps a reflection of people valuing sentimentality and sustainability more than ever.

The six rings that we were asked to remodel had been worn for decades, however my client was ready for a change. She wanted a single ring, one that would hold all her diamonds, and most importantly, all her memories. It was a question of we would use all of her diamonds in just one concept. Once we finalised the design, I carefully removed the diamonds, cleaned them in diluted sulphuric acid, and reset them into the new piece crafted in platinum. The result? A stunning ring that carries the same sentiment but in a fresh form, ready to be cherished in this next phase of her life.
